Green Minestrone Soup and Jamie's Kitchen- Perth!


A couple of days ago I made a green minestrone soup for dinner as this is a great way to put heaps of green vegetables in one dish. I had a massive bunch of curly kale I needed to use up, as I went to the Subiaco Station St markets last weekend (so cheap and such a big range!) and bought a bunch that was bigger than my head!

5 Things I'm Loving at the Moment Including Raw Cheesecake!


I made this raw lime and mixed berry cheesecake last week for a vegan themed dinner party. It was really easy to make and so delicious. Sugar free and gluten free! You could eat it for breakfast, it's that healthy! Will post the recipe soon...

My Garden At The Moment


I live in rented house so I do not want to plant anything in garden beds as then I'd have to leave them behind if I move! All my plants are in pots so I can take everything with me. The photo below is a brussell sprout seedling, surrounded by tiny parsley seedlings that have all come up after my flat-leaf parsley went to seed and I pulled it out. Hopefully the sprout hurries up otherwise it will be overtaken!



What I Did This Morning..


This morning I had my usual cup of hot water with lemon, followed by a smoothie. At the moment I'm loving raw cacao smoothies! This one contained-

Bali: Vanilla and Hibiscus Cordial

      


I have just been to Bali and had the most amazing home made cordial in a tiny cafe in Seminyak.

This morning I was running too late to make my lunch, having just taken Chico for a walk to the oval. We completed the little agility course that is permanently set up for dogs. He is getting better at it but still needs lots of encouragement and gets very distracted by other dogs walking past.
