Lately I've taken to drinking a cup of fresh mint tea before bed. It is so easy to make and is such a soothing drink.
I just pick a few sprigs of mint from the garden (it is so easy to grow!) and put them in a cup, along with some freshly boiled water. Or, if you don't have mint growing in your garden, stock up on it from local markets or farmers markets where you can get a big bunch at a much cheaper price than the supermarket. The Subiaco Station St Markets sell their herbs for $1!
Mint tea has so many benefits apart from being delicious;
- it stimulates digestion
- it stimulates the biliary secretion and helps the digestion of fats
- mint can treat diarrhea, gastric fever or toxic infections
- it can control mild asthma,
- manage stress
- ward off the common cold
